The final work day of the season is an important one as we prepare to put the garden to bed for the winter season— and to make the space welcoming for our Fall Harvest Fest the following Saturday.
One of our primary tasks at the Tend the Garden Day on Saturday, Sept. 15, will be moving items from the old white metal shed to our lovely new shed, which was built for us by the Restorative Justice Project of the Mural Arts Program.
Mowing, weeding, clipping, repairs, and other important maintenance tasks are on the agenda for our next Tend the Garden Day on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are welcome for part or all of that time.
