This interesting fern, which dies back after the first frost, has pale-green fronds that make a nice contrast with darker-leaved evergreen ferns. This fern grows well in moist, humus-rich, bog-like areas, but will grow in full sun with adequate moisture. Grows 1-3 feet high with a 2-3-foot spread.  Native to North America
