Originating in Peru, this moderately hot (about 50,000 on the Scoville scale) is favored for spicy ceviche. Its lightly crinkly, cone-shaped fruits ripen to a brilliant yellow and have a flavor reminiscent of citrus. Plants are fairly low and bushy, reaching a height of about 18 inches; stems begin to droop as fruit forms.
