Annual Membership Event at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16

Hansberry Garden & Nature Center is now accepting applications for membership for the 2024 gardening season. Both returning members and new recruits are strongly encouraged to meet the HGNC community at our annual Spring Gathering on Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. Weather permitting, the meeting will be held at the garden; if the weather fails to cooperate, we’ll meet at the Weavers Way Coop’s Germantown Outreach Office at 326B Chelten Ave.

In 2024, new applications will be for membership in HGNC’s Garden Collective, a group of gardeners who share both the work of cultivating a number of garden plots and the harvest from those plots.

Coffee, tea, and light refreshments (including treats made by some of HGNC’s talented bakers) will be served as the garden’s leaders discuss the benefits and expectations of membership. After this introduction, attendees will break into groups to discuss ideas and projects related to the garden’s member committees.
