The Levites, a Philadelphia band known for energetic performances fronted by both a singer and a rapper, will play a concert at Hansberry Garden & Nature Center on Friday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m. The show is free, although HGNC will gratefully accept donations to defray costs.

Germantown fans may have seen the Levites in concert at Attic Brewing Company, and the band is well known for its festival performances in West Philly, where it also hosts a regular jam session at Dahlak Paradise restaurant. This concert replaces one scheduled for June 24, which was postponed because of rain.
