On the morning of Saturday, Oct. 7, Hansberry Garden will host a special work day to prepare the space for the next phase of our Land Use Master Plan.

Later this month, a contractor will shape the small depression we call “the grotto” into a semicircular assembly space, using large stones to create tiers of seats. On Saturday, gardeners will clear the area of weeds. Also on the agenda: work to complete construction of the small greenhouse erected this summer.

Work begins at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served afterward.
